The ChessKid Road Trip To Nationals

 

It's been a full tournament season on the road to the Elementary Nationals this weekend in Nashville, TN!

Come by and see us this weekend, where we'll have:

• FunMasterMike and Poppabear running a puzzles station with prizes
• Free game reviews to learn from your matches
• Our new ChessKid t-shirts
• Never-before-seen ChessKid.com activity booklets
• Special appearances by U.S. Women's Champion GM Irina Krush and ChessKid video author Mousetrap

ChessKid's been lucky this year to join you around the nation. We've traveled to some of the larger scholastic events all around the country where we met some really talented players and coaches and were part of some really fun events.

The ChessKid booth had free game reviews, puzzle stations, special guests, and gave away tons of prizes! It's been great seeing talented chess players from coast to coast. Here's a recap of where we've been:

• In Austin, TX at the 2015 Texas Region VI Scholastic Championships:

• In Atlanta, GA at the 2015 K-8 Team State Qualifier:

• In Charlotte, NC at the 2015 North Carolina K-12 Championship:

• In Charleston, SC at the 2015 SC Scholastic Championship:

South Carolina's largest state tournament yet! Thanks to NM Sam Copeland for the game reviews! 

  

• In Normal, IL at the 2015 Illinois K-8 Chess Championships:

The campus of Illinois State University hosted the Illinois Championship. Thanks to NM Pete Karagianis for the game reviews!

  

• In Salt Lake City, UT at the 2015 Utah State Elementary Championship:

On the campus of the University of Utah. Thanks to NM Scott Treiman for the game reviews!

  

• In McAllen, TX at the 2015 Texas Scholastic Chess Championships:

This Texas-sized event had almost 1,500 players. Thanks for the game reviews IM Danny Rensch (aka PoppaBear)!

  

• In Spokane, WA at the 2015 WA State Elementary & Middle School Chess Championships:

More than 1,000 players competed in beautiful Spokane. Thanks to FM Jim Maki and FM Andrey Chumachenko for the game reviews!
