ChessKid.com Announces Partnership with ClassLink
ChessKid.com is excited to announce a partnership with ClassLink to provide students with easier opportunities to learn to play chess. Through this partnership, all school systems utilizing ClassLink single sign-on who are new to ChessKid will be able to provide free access to the basic ChessKid program to all of their students in Fall 2022. In addition, ChessKid is hosting a contest in the fall for all ClassLink schools to monitor ChessKid usage. The schools with the most usage (most kids logging on to the ChessKid platform to take online lessons, solve puzzles, or play games) will receive free Gold ChessKid accounts for all their students for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year. This contest is available to new or first-time users of ChessKid who do not currently have a subscription.
How The Contest Works
- The contest announcement in September. Schools should start sharing rosters through ClassLink and having students click on the ChessKid icon which will automatically create their accounts (example below).
- The contest runs from October 1 through December 15; ClassLink and ChessKid will monitor how many students actively log on to ChessKid through their ClassLink portal and play a game, solve a puzzle, watch a video, do a lesson, play a robot, etc. Any chess activity counts!
- Schools with the highest percentage of students actively using ChessKid during the contest period will have their gold accounts extended for the spring 2023 semester!
