Join ChessKid at the 2024 National K-12 Grade Championships - December 6-8!

ChessKid is excited to announce that we will be in National Harbor, Maryland from December 6-8, 2024 for the US Chess National K-12 Grade Championships!

We've got 3 exciting ways YOU can join in the ChessKid fun!

1) All kids in grades K-6 playing in the main tournament are invited to compete in the ChessKid Problem-Solving Tournament on Friday morning at 10 am eastern in the Cherry Blossom Ballroom.

2) All girls are invited to the Girls' Club for a girls-only Puzzle Contest on Saturday at 10:30 am eastern in the Girls' Club room (Chesapeake 1-3).

3) Join the fun at the ChessKid Booth all weekend long, with FREE Game Analysis, Puzzle Stations, & Prizes...and to meet the ChessKid team! We'll be set up in the Skittles room (Prince George's Exhibit AB).

 

 

Here's information on all the events!


ChessKid K-6 Problem-Solving Tournament

When: Friday morning, December 6th at 10 am eastern. 

Where: In person in the Cherry Blossom Ballroom.

Cost: Free!

Details: All K-6 players are invited to participate in a problem-solving tournament! There are fun prizes for the winners at the end of the event. 

This is what you need to do to take part:

-Bring your own device with the ChessKid app already downloaded. WiFi is not guaranteed, so make sure you have cellular service and data.
-Sign out of your own ChessKid account (if you have one).
-The ChessKid team will create one-time accounts for the participants and you will all sign in to the one-time account to start at the same rating.
-You will have a 10-minute race to see who can achieve the highest puzzle rating! 

 


Girls' Club ChessKid Puzzle Contest

When: Saturday morning, December 7th at 10:30 am eastern.

Where: In person at the Girls' Club (Chesapeake 1-3).

Cost: Free!

Details: On Saturday, all girls are invited to participate in a puzzle contest! Winners will receive fun prizes at the end of the event.

This is what you need to do to take part:

Join the ChessKid team for fun all weekend long!

When: All weekend, Friday-Sunday, December 6th-8th!

Where: ChessKid Booth, in the Skittles room (Prince George's Exhibit AB) at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center.
